Appearance: Etna is a short “petite” demon with bright maroon hair tied up into two blooms on the back of her head. She has the traditional fare in the way of demonic physical traits; pointed ears, tiny bat wings and a long red tail with a spade tip.
She dresses almost exclusively in black and likes to dress in a risqué manner, reminiscent of a succubus (minus the typical “prerequisites” of the job), with long black taut gloves secured by leather belts just above the bicep, a black thin leather top that’s more like a bat-wing bikini than anything else, long black boots with crimson trim, that stretch up halfway over the thighs, little skull earrings, thick red cuff bracelets with black studs on her wrists and ankles and a white belted open-side miniskirt to match the rest.

Personality: Before her unfortunate visit to Paixao, the only thing perfectly constant about Etna’s personality was her tendency to change it based on the immediate moment.

Most of the time, she was perfectly content to waste time, planted on a couch and bark orders at her unfortunate servants. She was needlessly narcissistic; she had even had her stats “hacked” to replace her title “demon lord” with “beauty queen”

Not that much of that has changed, Etna is still a ball of dark bitter chocolate vice with a hard coating of saccharine sincerity. Perfectly capable of giving you a smile so fake and so sickeningly sweet, its stomach turning, but as you find you’ve grown accustomed to it you might find a knife gently pressed against your spine with her tail as you walk down the street.

Like many demons, Etna places the highest importance on rank. In the feudalistic system of the netherworlds, almost everybody serves somebody and eventually everybody serves the overlord.
Ever opportunistic, she tends serve those in power, slowly gather information and grasp their position and wealth in a swift coup d’état. Essentially, for a free spirit like herself, Etna claims she won’t be happy until she’s crowned an overlord.

However, over the time she’s been in Paixao, she been deeply hurt by her consistent failures to defeat those who go against her and her friends, especially her inability to stop the egregious acts of the Organization member Larxene, who has consistently attempted to torture and torment Laharl and Flonne, whom, though she’d never admit it, Etna treats as younger siblings (despite Flonne being her senior). The thought of returning to being the powerless and destitute slave she once was is the most terrifying thing Etna’s ever conceived. Even the concept of things being beyond her control bothers her. Needless to say, an untouchable tormenter makes her want to tear her ears off in anguish.


Abilities/Weaponry:
Weapons:
Prinnies! Maybe they’re not really “hers” or “weapons” but she’ll treat them just as such, regardless. They explode when thrown and do grunt work.

A big-ass red “Elder Spear” with a twisted angular head that’s so large the thing’s more like an axe then a spear and she wields it in a fashion similar to both.
• Spear users in the Disgaea universe have the unique fashion of using them, when utilizing their special attacks; they combine an attack and a retreat into a singular action. Notable maneuvers Etna employs include;
o Impaler: Etna performs an aerial stab and then turns the momentum into a backwards kick to launch herself away from the enemy she just stabbed.
o Asteroid drop: Etna jumps and deals explosive damage to her surroundings, escaping just in time to about 30 feet away.
o Spear storm: doesn’t exactly move Etna, but it is of note as it does light about 25 feet of land in any direction on fire in a hail of spears made of fire.

A gun… it’s a large pistol, no biggie; she doesn’t even use it much.

Knives: Etna carries quite a few, they’re sharp and pointy.


Abilities:
Flight, self explanatory

Prehensile tail, it’s about as strong as her arm, but not as stable or dexterous

Stealth; Demons are natural creatures of the shadows and alleys and Etna’s a demon among demons. She can slink around most anywhere undetected.

Silver tongue (not literally); Etna is a marvelously crafty liar of Machiavellian quality. Really, her schemes often double over several times and allow for almost any crossroads

Chaos Impact: sort of Etna’s answer to Laharl’s “overlord’s wrath”. She creates about eight floating spheres of paralyzing energy that seek out a visible target and freeze them in space, then she finishes them off with huge ball of fire.

Weaknesses:
Etna is pretty tough, strong enough to be seeking overlord-ship, but, she’s not without fault, She’s always searching for the easiest way to get things done, which can tend to get risky or rely too much on her plans for others. Not to mention that, she is also a tremendously terrible loser and when beaten it tends to get to her.

As of recent, most of her backstabbing ploys have failed, either due to her own inability to commit to killing them or the incompetence of her assistance.
Also, Etna is rather sensitive to certain subjects and can be fairly easily manipulated if you do it from the right angle and she’s grown a little too compassionate to outright kill some of those truly close to her.

Etna has also undergone some emotional trauma from the continued torment Larxene has been bringing down on Laharl and Flonne and she’s internalized the blame for that on herself. Taunting her on that would likely prove a very sore subject at the moment.

History:
Etna was raised a low level servant under the lordship of King Krichevskoy, the other demons mocked for her stunted growth and weak manner and in the end the King proved to be her only friend. Through the years, she grew more and more loyal to the King, while the king grew more and more attached to his young son Laharl and caring wife.

It was after the King died, that Etna had her memories stolen and was promised them back in exchange for poisoning the young prince, ensuring chaos through the netherworld as powers vied for the throne of overlord. In the end, Etna double-crossed her blackmailer and served “loyally” under the childish prince for a fairly long period. She tried a few times to take Laharl’s throne, but it never really worked out. Maybe, it was that she couldn’t bring herself to out and out off Laharl after all the years at his side. That of course didn’t mean there weren’t times she wanted to throttle the little prick.

It was then that she saw the perfect chance to prove herself; the legendary “God of all Overlords” had been found in a small new netherworld, named “Veldime” and was the opportunity of a lifetime to fight him and claim his title.

Sadly, it was at this time that she was instead transported to Paixao, and forced to put her difference aside once again to team back up with Laharl and Flonne. Things didn’t really go as they typically did, though. Paixao was a different rulebook. They weren’t just crashing into someone’s house and crushing whatever got thrown in their way. In the city, they were already trapped, already being watched and already given the losing hand. Whenever they would least expect was when they would be struck at. Larxene, one of the Organization members had taken a particular liking to catching Laharl off guard and tormenting him. Etna was constantly missing steps, she wanted to end it, and she wanted to be in control again. So, Etna disappeared, threw away the journal she was obviously being tracked by and disappeared into the city without so much as a good bye to begin her own personal “treasure hunt” for an Organization hideout, most specifically Larxene. Once she finds that, it’s just like old times, good old party crashing, right?
